Ron Stewart
As a dance artist I was drawn to yoga as a practice that would compliment my performing career and build on my existing physical knowledge and training. It wasn’t long before I started to see results I hadn’t expected, my mental as well as physical strength and flexibility improved. Initially, I had started practicing on my own, but after some time decided to improve my understanding of yoga by taking classes at studios and studied Bikrams, Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashtanga. In 2004 Kate Potter offered a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course which inspired me to study deeper and in 2006 I studied Vipasana Meditation with Steve and Rosemary Wiseman at Wat Khao Tam in Thailand. I continue to be awed and humbled by the power and breadth of yoga’s reach and am inspired and excited to be a part of such a great community of people who are actively seeking out ways to create change in themselves and the world around them.
