Nicole & Gerry Wienholt, husband and wife, and co-owners of Yoga Pod Boulder, share their love of yoga with the wonderful abundance of students, teachers, and residents of this vibrant and beautiful community they call home.
Nicole, as a passionate lover of animals, and vegetarian for most all of her life, has found that her compassionate nature is fed by living a yogic lifestyle, and is the perfect complement and discipline for body, mind and soul. Yoga has been an important part of her life since 2000.
Gerry discovered yoga in 2004, and finds that yoga brings great balance and harmony to an otherwise constantly busy mind, allowing for time to enjoy beauty around.
Both Nicole & Gerry agree that, along with the strength through their unconditional love for each other, yoga and a regular meditation practice, they are stay more grounded, focused by living a life through breath and movement. Both are 200 hour certified teachers and teach uplifting, fun (and sometimes silly) classes, separately and co-taught, and look forward to sharing the vibrant Yoga Pod Boulder space with you!
Joy Shanley Miller is our Studio Director. She was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She was always drawn to an active and outdoor lifestyle but it wasn’t until she found yoga that she truly discovered her passion. Initially, yoga was just a physical practice and a good workout. As her practice began to deepen, Joy found yoga to be an emotional and spiritual outlet as well.
She was so impacted by the power of this practice, she decided to make yoga a larger part of her life. Joy withdrew from graduate school in 2009 and enrolled in her first 200-hour teacher training. Since then, she has completed several workshops and certifications, including Yoga for Cancer Survivors and Yoga for PTSD. She completed her 300-hour teacher training in 2018.
Elizabeth Amann is our Studio Manager, a yoga teacher, a dog mom, and an avid yoga student. She was born and raised in Upstate, New York but moved to Boulder the first chance she got! Her background includes a degree in Anatomy and Physiology, professional dance, and snowboard instruction. As an instructor, Elizabeth is homegrown having completed her 200-hour teacher training and Hot teacher training at Yoga Pod Boulder.
Her goal is to uphold a clean, bright, and welcoming studio for you to find sanctuary from the hustle of your day. It is important to her that you feel welcomed, supported, and at ease in our space. Elizabeth can help you navigate the studio, recommend class styles and teachers, connect you to studio events, and introduce you to our vibrant yoga community. Elizabeth will quickly make you feel right at home!
