We want our students to achieve a greater sense of presence or the “flow state”. Through our Philosophy and Science our students will reduce stress, build strength, and increase flexibility.

We offer podBASICS to build intentional foundation, podFLOW 1 to progress on your vinyasa path, and podFLOW 2 to increase challenge. Our podHOT class is guaranteed to deliver a detoxifying sweat and leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. podFIT, taught to the beat and focused on strength, cardiovascular health and endurance training will set you up for success in your continued practice. Yin yoga is a lovely way to unwind your mind and melt away the stress from your days. We are passionate about growing the yoga community in Gainesville, and we can’t wait to welcome you to your mat!

All Yoga Pod classes are suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced, and will guide you to a greater state of health, well-being, and connection. Each class will help you increase your body awareness, flexibility, and strength, while you also decrease stress and provide a platform for personal growth.

Yoga Pod is a brand new yoga studio in Gainesville! We’re open and so excited to build our community.
We believe our yoga studio is exactly what Gainesville needs right now. You may be asking yourself why four yogis from Boulder, Colorado, are opening a studio in North Central Florida.
Owner Alex Jarboe shares the story about how he and the other owners decided to expand the Yoga Pod community in Gainesville.

Our schedule of classes includes a little something for everyone. From never stepping on a yoga mat to being an instructor-in-training, to loving the powerful flow and feeling the fitness burn, Yoga Pod has a class to suit your needs. Most of our classes are one hour, but we have some filtered into our schedule that give students some additional time on the mat or in an express format when demanded.
Beginners can start in podBASICS (less challenging), podFLOW 1, or podFIT and podHOT.
podFLOW 1 is ideal for all yogis who are ready to start their yoga journey. It is a great class that focuses on setting an intention and then working through postures and sequences that increase flexibility and build strength all while challenging you along the way.
podBASICS focuses on four types of movements that occur regularly throughout our more advanced classes in podFLOW 1 or podFLOW 2. podBASICS builds the foundation with forward folds, back bends, hip openers, and twists. Through these movements, students explore alignment and breathing patterns at a slow pace. This is a great class if podFLOW 1 is too challenging or for advanced students looking to refine their practice.
podFLOW 2 is a more intermediate- or advanced-level yoga class that builds on the sequence initiated in podFLOW 1. We kick it up a notch by adding some heat, humidity, and challenge. The detoxification element of podFLOW 2 is unbeatable and the movement into flow provides a deep sense of presence.
Maybe you can’t get enough of the Florida heat and humidity, so you want to find a more direct route to sweat. We love sweat and highly encourage it during podHOT. This is another class for students of all levels and beginners. The room temperature is set to 105 degrees with 60 percent humidity! It’s hot. It’s humid. It’s yoga. It’s what we love and crave. Don’t forget your towel and water — you’ll definitely need them.
If you’re ready to switch up your routine and support your life with more fitness, you can kick up your practice a notch with a podFIT class. Engage your core and use all muscle groups as you move through cardio and bodyweight exercises mixed with resistance training. This class doesn’t involve yoga, but that’s why we like it! It mixes up your routine to energize your body, build strength, and increase core stability… three things that will help accelerate change in your body. podFIT is definitely a fitness-focused class. So if you’re ready for a more laid-back yogic atmosphere, check out the next class…
Do you have the flow, love music, and love to have fun? We love the flow, the music, and the fun in yoga, it’s what makes the movements come alive. One way we encourage students to feel the flow is through Sweat. Heat. Beatz. It’s a class that focuses more on flowing through the poses yet to decidedly “unyogic” music. Other classes help perfect alignment, but Sweat. Heat. Beatz. brings together all levels in a room where people can move to their own beat. We pump the heat and the music, take it back a notch on the cues and the verbiage, and let students zone in on their own meditative flow through the class.
Finally, students may be interested in a more relaxing class that helps increase joint mobility and improve flexibility. YIN classes offer just that for students of all levels. This class is relaxing, but the results are achieved through moderate intensity through long holds. Our teachers guide students to hold postures passively for 2-5 minutes in order to give the body time to ease into the new areas of flexibility and mobility; this gently stresses connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, and fascia). Your body will work hard, so we set the room at a comfortable 80 degrees, keep the music soft, and the lights down low.

Yoga Teacher Training
We love helping students become the teachers. We offer a refreshingly unique twist on the traditional 200-hour training courses through our Yoga Alliance program.
The trainings are hosted by our amazing faculty including Daisy Nation, Molly Cellon, Ellie Pollock, Liz Getman, Keri Johnson, Emilie Lang, and Rachel and Alex Jarboe, Yoga Pod Owners. Each faculty member hosts a variety of sessions with classes throughout the week.
These classes help students expand their potential, ignite their hearts, and empower themselves.
Training focuses on a deepened sense of alignment understanding, applied anatomy, yogic history and philosophy, subtle energy of the body, practical teaching skills, and more.
Students will walk away from the training with the skills they need to successfully lead a safe and powerful vinyasa flow yoga class.
