with Tammy Black & Lara Christine @ Yoga Pod Boulder, 30th Street
Two, 2-week long Immersive Sessions to explore the wisdom of these subtle body practices
Yoga Pod’s Restorative & Yoga Nidra Immersion invites you to step into the profound art of conscious rest. Over two connected modules, you’ll explore practices that soothe the nervous system, replenish energy, and awaken inner awareness.
In the Restorative Yoga module, you’ll discover the principles of relaxation through supported postures, breath awareness, and gentle sequencing that encourages profound stillness.
In the Yoga Nidra module, you’ll journey into the ancient practice of “yogic sleep,” a guided meditation that systematically leads the body and mind into deep rest and expanded consciousness.
This immersion is open to all practitioners—no prior training required. Students will enrich their personal practice, while certified yoga teachers will gain the insight to thoughtfully weave restorative and nidra techniques into their classes.
What Makes This Immersion Unique?
Accessible to all levels — Perfect for students who want to deepen their practice beyond movement-based yoga.
Supportive for teachers — A valuable complement to existing Yin or 200-hour certifications, providing skills to bring Restorative and Nidra into the classroom.
Experience-based — Each session blends practice with study, offering both embodied experience and conceptual understanding.

Lara is a devoted student and passionate Yogini who believes in the power of presence and love to illuminate, transform, and restore balance. Along with her 10 years + experience as a teacher and yoga practitioner, Lara has studied and practiced a wide variety of healing modalities that she synthesizes into her classes and private work. These include Vinyasa Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Principle-Based Partner Yoga, Body-Centered Psychotherapy, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Massage Therapy, Feminine Embodiment Arts, and Authentic Relating. Each breath, each class, each bow, and each movement, represents a prayer of devotion and love. Through her own personal experience, she has discovered that yoga enlivens a power of heightened awareness in all areas of our lives. "When we begin to embody ourselves authentically on all levels, we have the innate power to heal ourselves naturally." Yoga is an art form that Lara carves into each practice to restore your body, mind, and soul, to leave you feeling more connected and aligned. When not on her yoga mat, you will find Lara singing, dancing, and hiking in the Colorado mountains as well as playing with her daughter Brooke.

I began my journey as a yoga teacher in 1991. My training includes traditional Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra, Restorative and Yin. I'm blessed to have had my knowledge and growth nurtured by many great teachers. Drawing from these various traditions, I teach ways to "lean into" the struggles we all face...to approach our lives with understanding and grace. My passion lies in teaching yoga in a way that invites us to deeply explore our internal landscape....quieting the noise that prevents us from truly hearing the music of our soul.
